I have a digital painting which I'm drawing for about a month now and it's getting more and more frustrating to continue. This time I want to have a fully detailed background (in this scenario - laboratory with a fading light) which I've always neglected. I would only throw some texture and a few colours to make a contrast and at least not leaving the painting that bleak.
However, since I barely draw landscape or scenery, I burden myself with spending more time on this painting than in fact starting completely new ones. Either it's going to be once or twice a week, it gets extremely tedious when a painting you've started by clear imagination sucks every ounce of desire.
What's your experience with such situations? Are you keeping a status quo of "good things come slowly"?
